Where Is It Situated?

The Languedoc is a french province in the south west of France (now contained in newly named Occitanie region) near the border with Spain. Its main cities are Toulouse and Montpellier. The Languedoc features a mix of picturesque vineyards country side with castles, rivers and lakes and also enjoys hundreds of kilometers of coastline with the Mediterranean Sea.

There are 3 international airports (Toulouse, Montpellier and Beziers), several high speed train (TGV) stations and 2 highways who connect the Languedoc with the rest of France and Europe.

Nizas, the Village

Nizas is a medieval village articulated in a "circulade" around its 14th century center, castle and church. Despite its small population (700 inhabitants, about 1000 in summer) Nizas has its own supermarket, primary school, post office and bar-restaurant.

A 30 minutes drive from the beach (Agde) or the lake du Salagou, Nizas is also under 4.5 hours (door to door) from Paris by train (direct) and only 3 or so hours from England, Sweden, Holland or Germany by plane.
